It's Papa's birthday tomorrow and as I'm whisking him away for a surprise weekend break we decided to celebrate with the kids this morning. For Phin that means baking and then eating the frosting after a hearty rendition of happy birthday. We spent yesterday baking these hummingbird cupcakes - lavender with lilac frosting and silver sprinkles and red velvet with cream cheese frosting and coloured crunchy baubles. Talk about a sugar high at 9am!
